Fraudulent Emails
Recently our customers reported receiving a fraudulent email attempting to get them to provide personal information.
The email links to a fraudulent online page that looks like a legitimate Bank of Oklahoma logon page, containing a username and password prompt. If accessed, customers are then taken to a separate page that asks for private personal and financial information.
If you responded to either page (the logon page or the request for additional information page), please contact our ExpressBank immediately.
Reminder, Bank of Oklahoma will never ask you for personal information or direct you to a new or temporary Online Banking logon page via email.
Spotting fraudulent emails is not always easy since criminals who use them are becoming more sophisticated when creating them. If you receive a suspicious e-mail and suspect it could be fraudulent, please contact us immediately to verify the e-mail is genuine.
Here is an example of a fraudulent e-mail.
This is the type of information fraudulent emails will typically ask for. Do not fill in this type of information when requested to do so in an email. Bank of Oklahoma will never ask you for personal information or direct you to a new or temporary Online Banking logon page via email.
