At Bank of Oklahoma, our community is our livelihood. For that reason, we believe in giving back every day and in many different ways.

Serving our community is more than a commitment. It's our culture.

Making a community stronger begins with clearly understanding its needs. That's why we have developed meaningful relationships with more than 800 nonprofit partners in the eight states where we have banking centers. Additionally, we work closely with community and business leaders, elected officials and other local partners. With these relationships, we are able to identify, understand and address the unique challenges each of our communities face.

With tangible needs identified, we strategically invest in programs that enhance both the quality of life and economic well-being of our communities. We allocate resources - both financial and in-kind – to make a difference in the communities we serve.

Our vision includes the following three goals:

  • To take a leadership role in the community to help guide important local and regional causes.
  • To financially support key civic activities that are critical to the viability of the community.
  • To encourage and support employee volunteerism.

Financial Contributions
Our goal with financial contributions is to deliver lasting impact to our communities. We aim to build long-term relationships with the nonprofit partners we serve to assure maximum benefit to the community.

We have established the BOKF Foundation, a charitable entity guided by a board of directors.

Similar to our community service and volunteering, we focus our financial giving in the following areas:

  • Health and Human Services
  • Education
  • United Way
  • Economic Development
  • Arts and Culture
  • Community Development

In Kind Contributions
One of the most simple and effective ways we help our community comes from hidden treasures within our company. We donate computers to elementary schools. We give office furniture to halfway houses. We open our banking center network to causes such as our annual literacy campaign, which collected more than 150,000 books for children from 2003 to 2014. We open special contribution accounts to allow citizens to make donations to friends and neighbors in need. From our equipment to our infrastructure, we find the community often values our resources immeasurably.

Sometimes the best gift we can give is our time and our talent. By lending our expertise, we empower our community partners to develop meaningful business strategies, effective fund raising initiatives, sound financial planning and more. The skills of our employees are as diverse as they are remarkable and there is no limit to the results we can deliver to our community.

Collectively, our teams provide the following services:

  • Nonprofit Board Service
  • Philanthropic Strategic Planning
  • Financial Education
  • Tax Preparation

Good corporate citizenship has always been an essential part of BOK Financial.

It is one of the key values in our company mission: "We are committed to the communities we serve." We are motivated to improve the quality of life in the communities where we do business because we believe the most successful companies are the ones that are the most active in providing their support. Our sustained involvement and long-term investments in our communities are important elements of our culture and an integral part of the way we do business. We believe that helping the community also helps the stakeholders in BOK Financial - employees, shareholders and customers.

We continue to fulfill our commitment to responsible corporate citizenship through financial and in-kind contributions and volunteer time from our employees. We support programs that encourage the charitable generosity and volunteer spirit of our employees.

BOK Financial contributions are budgeted on an annual calendar basis. We accept online charitable contribution/grant applications throughout the year.
