National Volunteer Month: BOK Financial recognizes employees for more than 56,000 volunteer hours

TULSA, Okla. — BOK Financial employees volunteered 56,598 hours in 2025, including 171 employees who each contributed 100 hours or more in service to nonprofit organizations. The recognition, given during National Volunteer Month, reflects a culture of service across the company. Employees serve nonprofits through individual volunteer efforts, company-sponsored events and skills-based service.

“Our employees don’t just support their communities, they invest in them,” said Jeff Reid, chief human resources officer at BOK Financial. “Their service reflects a companywide commitment to supporting organizations doing important work where our employees live and work.”

In Tulsa, for example, employees contributed more than 24,000 volunteer hours through individual efforts and nearly 80 company-sponsored events. Through the company’s Dollars for Doers program, those efforts also generated more than $12,000 in charitable donations for local nonprofits.

The 171 employees who volunteered 100 hours or more were recognized with BOK Financial’s Community Impact Award, which honors team members for sustained service.

One of those honorees is Laura Stebbins, audit team lead in internal audit at BOK Financial, who serves on the board of directors for the Junior League of Tulsa and will become its president in June. “Volunteering has always been a passion of mine,” Stebbins said. “When I moved to Tulsa, I didn’t know just how philanthropic this community was. Giving back to a community that has helped shape me is beyond anything I could have imagined, and I love working for an organization like BOK Financial that recognizes and encourages employees to give back.”
