Your Account Has a New Name

Free Checking is now Access Checking

Your checking account has a new name—but all of the great features are still the same. You'll still pay no monthly service fee when you're enrolled in online statements1, and enjoy unlimited check writing, free overdraft protection, and Online and Mobile Access. In other words, Access Checking delivers all the benefits of the full-service checking account you love…without the full-service fees.

Free Student Checking is now Student Checking

Our Student Checking account may have a new name, but that's about all that's changed. There is still no monthly service fee when you're enrolled in online statements1, and no overdraft fees2 if you accidentally overdraw your account. Students can still enjoy the independence of having their own Visa debit card, and those at least 13 years of age can still manage their accounts in Online and Mobile Access.

  • Enroll in Online Statements. If you haven’t yet done so, this is a good time to grab the chance. You could receive your bank statement a few days earlier and save a couple bucks while you're at it. Enroll in Online Statements here.
  • Give yourself a backup plan with free Overdraft Protection. Link your checking account to your savings, money market account or personal line of credit, and enroll in free Overdraft Protection to avoid accidental overdrafts. Learn more about overdraft protection.

Personal and Business Accounts

Log in to a different personal or business account

1. If you choose to receive a monthly statement via postal mail, a statement fee of $2 will be assessed each month. To avoid this fee, you can turn off paper statements by logging in to Online or Mobile Access, selecting "online only", and accepting the Online Statements Terms and Conditions. Opting out of paper statements will terminate the mailing of your monthly statement.

2. Although this account will help you avoid overdrawing your account in most situations, there may be times when your account could have a negative balance. One situation in which this could happen would be if a transaction for a certain amount is approved, but the final charge exceeds the balance in your account, such as when you use your debit card at a restaurant, and add a tip separately. In this example, the total transaction amount would result in you overdrawing your account, but we would not charge you an overdraft fee.
